John and Horace (The Dodge Brothers) had created the new four-cylinder Dodge Model 30. Marketed as a slightly more upscale competitor to the ubiquitous Ford Model T, it pioneered or made standard many features later taken for granted: all-steel body construction (the vast majority of cars worldwide still used wood-framing under steel panels, though Stoneleigh and BSA used steel bodies as early as 1911); 12-volt electrical system (6-volt systems would remain the norm until the 1950s); 35 horsepower (versus the Model T's 20), and sliding-gear transmission (the best-selling Model T would retain an antiquated planetary design until its demise in 1927). As a result of this, and the brothers' well-earned reputation for the highest quality truck, transmission and motor parts they made for other successful vehicles, Dodge Brothers cars were ranked at second place for U.S. sales as early as 1916. As the Dodge brothers decided to produce their ... read more

This is a 1951 Chevrolet Truck. Trucks like this are some of the most classic trucks out there. This particular truck not only has a ton of collector and classic value but it has even more sentimental value to the family who owns it. This truck was the go to truck for their grandpa. He not only used it all the time and thought of it as his pride and joy but it was the truck that he used to become closer with his kids and grandkids. This was the truck he taught each and everyone of his kids and grandkids how to drive in. Unfortunately he passed away awhile ago and passed the truck on to his family. It sat in a garage for quite awhile but once the family got it they all agreed that they wanted to get it back to the original truck they all got to spend so much time and created so many memories with their grandpa in. They want it as original as possible. To Truly have the truck they loved so much to remember the man they love so much. This is what we love to do here at W ... read more

A new, more modern look came in 1967, along with a new nickname: "Action Line". It was with this revision of the C/K truck that General Motors began to add comfort and convenience items to a vehicle line that had previously been for work purposes alone. Updated styling features for the 1967 Chevy Pickup trucks came with new body sheet metal that helps fight rust. The majority of 10 and 20 series Chevrolet trucks from 1967 to 1972 were built with a coil spring trailing arm rear suspension, which greatly improved the ride over traditional leaf springs. However, the leaf spring rear suspension was still available on those trucks, and standard on 30 series trucks. The front suspension on all Chevrolet trucks were independent front suspension with coil springs. GMC models came standard with leaf springs with coils springs optional; all four-wheel drive models had leaf springs on both axles. Numerous changes occurred in 1971. First came another new grille design (the &qu ... read more
