The 1967 Chevelle SS is the single most sought after car out there! The Chevelle Super Sport, or SS represented Chevrolet's entry into the muscle car battle! Early 1964 and 1965 Chevelles had a Malibu SS badge on the rear quarter panel. Starting in mid-1964, the Chevelle could be ordered with the division’s 327-cubic-inch V8, in either 250 or 300 hp. Both used a four-barrel carburetor and 10.5:1 compression. For 1965, Chevrolet also added the 350-hp 327 V8 as Regular Production Option L79. A total of 294,160 Chevelles were built the first year, including 76,860 SS models! This Chevelle we are building right now is unfortunately not an original SS! We are turning this 1967 Chevelle Malibu into the SS. No matter if its a clone SS or an original it is still one sweet ride

For all you Corvette lovers this is the dream car for you and so very many others out there! This is a 1972 C3 Corvette! I mean there aren't a whole lot of cars out there that beat this car! They even had the fender flares build into the contour of the body to reduce damage from rocks and other wheel-thrown debris! That is a lot better then most of the vehicles now that look like the flares are bulky add ons! That way you get the sleek, sexy look ,that the Chevrolet Corvette has mastered so very well over the years, and still get to keep your paint in perfect condition! Now this C3 that we have in our shop right now is getting the full once over to bring it back to its former glory as one sweet ride! We are bringing this Corvette back to the factory look and quality! When we are done with this bad boy it will look like it was just driven off the showroom floor in 1972! Just as the customer ordered!

The 1967 Pontiac Le Mans was and still is a very popular car! Now the GTO has become more of the dream car rather than the Le Mans. The GTO is often favorable to the Le Mans for several reasons! The GTO has the 400 motor, louvered covered tail lights, fake hood scoops, fog lamps in the grill, and has smooth rear quarter panels. This particular Le Mans is getting the upgrade of a lifetime! We are changing it from the Le Mans to the GTO! Many people have done this and tried to sell the car as an original GTO which is a lot more expensive then a clone or upgraded Le Mans. You need to be very careful if looking into buying a GTO! Luckily for this customer he doesn't ever have to worry about any of that because he gets his own custom GTO! It may not be an original GTO but he gets it exactly the way he wants! After all that I could not see why anyone would ever want to sell it! This is what we do here at Wasatch Customs! We take your dream and make it a reality!  ... read more

People have different opinions about which car was the very first muscle car. Some would say it was the very early 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket 88, while others argue that it was actually the 1964 Pontiac GTO. Still others point to the 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang, which was definitely the first Pony car, but could it be called the first muscle car? Each of these cars were trail blazers in their own way, so we thought we’d take a look at each of the 3 vehicles and give them the respect they deserve for their roles in influencing the American muscle car trend. #1 – The Pioneer: 1949 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 Does 1949 seem early to pin the term “muscle car” onto? Experts do point to the end of the 1940s as the first spark in the muscle car trend when they look at the Rocket 88. Oldsmobile was the first American automaker in the mainstream to put a high compression, dual overhead cam equipped engine into one of their cars. The engine was really consi ... read more

I just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone the very best of the holiday season, and to reflect on a little Christmas nostalgia. Christmas makes me think about piling into the car to visit friends and family. It reminds me of when we would stick a fir tree either on top of our car or out the back of the trunk. It also makes me think of all my Christmas wish lists I had over the years for so many cool toys. Thinking of all those toys, I can safely say, “They don’t make ‘em like they used to!” Just for fun, here are a couple of film clips that I find quite nostalgia. Even if you didn’t have these exact experiences as a child, I think that most of us will find that these scenes from A Christmas Story capture a certain feeling of nostalgia. Did you ever try this? I certainly stuck my tongue to a few popsicles in my day. I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday

What are the most iconic cars from film and television? We’ve compiled a list, trying to put aside our own preferences (for muscle cars of course!) and instead focusing on the cars that we think are absolutely the most famous and most recognizable to just about anyone. DeLorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future The most recognized and distinctive car associated with a single film is quite obvious. It definitely goes to the DeLorean DMC-12. We probably don’t even need to mention Back to the Future and most people, even those who know nothing about cars, will know the type of car. James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 The epitome of cool, as seen in Goldfinger, Thunderball, The Cannonball Run, Goldeneye, Tomorrow Never Dies, Casino Royale. Definitely part of James Bond lore and a true film icon. Milner’s 1932 Ford Deuce Coupe from American Graffiti The most famous hot rod, and one of the most all around cool cars from a ... read more
